Elephants Can’t Jump! written by Jeanne Willis and illustrated by Adrian Reynolds (2015)
Elephant refuses to give up when everyone tells him that elephants can’t jump. Even his own family admits that it’s true. Elephant tries and tries. But what he learns is that there is something he CAN do that the other animals cannot. So when he saves his friends and a little boy too, Elephant’s heart jumps for joy!
It’s tough being little sometimes. There are lots of things we want to do that we just can’t. Maybe it’s time to start thinking about what we CAN do and do those things to the best of our ability.
Fantastic advice for kids and adults!
Here are some more fun ideas to do with your kids.
Leave it to Martha Stewart to remind us how to make can stilts. It’s a lot of fun to walk onĀ Elephant Feet, but probably much harder to jump!Ā And when it’s time to use your trunk, try using aĀ Party BlowerĀ instead.
