Win or Lose I Love You! written by Lysa Terkeurst and illustrated by Jana Christy (2015)
Lulu and her friend Max have a Field Day adventure in the woods with their forest friends. Lulu has planned all the game and prizes, and thank goodness she and Max are ready to help poor losers and poor winners. It’s Bear-Bear who saves the day by always being a friend to the winners and the losers. So Bear-Bear wins the title, Leader of the Forest. As leader, Bear-Bear suggests that they all sit at the top of the Tall Tall Tree and watch the sunset.
Bear-Bear really shows what a good friend does in each situation. He comes up with solutions that make everyone feel better. Think about talking with your little ones about the lessons of the story. What can we learn from Bear-Bear? Wouldn’t you like to be Bear-Bear’s friend? Wouldn’t you like to be like Bear-Bear?
