And speaking of worms, have you read this picture book classic?

99296Diary of a Worm written by Doreen Cronin and illustrated by Harry Bliss (1996)

Before Click,Clack,Moo, before Giggle,Giggle,Quack, there was Diary of a Worm.  In this story, the worm keeps a diary of his everyday life. Despite the fact that his head looks like his rear end, his life is very ordinary and much like ours. He has parents, goes to school, and plays with his friends. Well, he does get to eat his homework but he can’t do the hokey-pokey. He does get to go on a trip to Compost Island and doesn’t have to take a bath, so in the end his life is pretty cool! Readers will learn a lot of little side-facts about worms along the way.
