Peace, Baby! written by Linda Ashman and illustrated by Joanne Lew-Vriethoff (2013)

Delightful rhyming book, showing situations of conflict which are resolved with two words. Instead of hitting, pushing, yelling, kicking, just take a deep breath and say, “Peace Baby!”

The Peace Book written and illustrated by Todd Parr (2005)

Bright and colorful, this picture book gives young children many personal and global examples of peace; including thinking about someone you love, giving shoes to someone who needs them, planting a tree, keeping the streets clean, learning another language, and being who you are.

Peace Crane written and illustrated by Sheila Hamanaka (1995)

Beautifully illustrated of one child’s dream of peace for all the children of the world. Based on the paper cranes made by a Japanese survivor of the bombs on Hiroshima who made more than one thousand paper cranes before dying of radiation poisoning in the form of leukemia. After her death, her classmates raised money for a monument in her honor. Every year, thousands of paper cranes are placed at the foot of her statue.
