Kindergarten Luck written by Louise Borden and illustrated by Genevieve Godbout (2015)
On a particularly gloomy day, Theodore found a shiny new penny. He picked it up and put it in his pocket. Theodore knew that he was going to have a great day. And he did. He had a wonderful breakfast, the bus was on time, he was chosen to do the calendar, be the line leader, and much more. Theodore knew it was because he had a lucky penny in his pocket. On the way home, Theodore decided to leave his lucky penny under the bus driver’s seat where he was sure to find it. Theodore knew he had enough luck to share.
What are some signs of good luck? A lucky penny, a four leaf clover, a dragonfly, a horseshoe, a rainbow… what other signs of good luck do you know?
