It’s Cherish an Antique Day!
When it comes to picture books, many of my favorites are antiques! Don’t get me wrong, I love a lot of the new books too, but classics only become classic when they’re old! I remember hearing somewhere that something had to be 50+ years old to be considered an antique. So let’s dust off a few ‘oldies but goodies’ today.
Some of these are all older than I am…and they’re still in print!
Millions of Cats (1928)
The Little Engine That Could (1930)
Stone Soup (1947) Frog and Toad All Year (1948)
Harold and the Purple Crayon (1955)Harry the Dirty Dog (1956)
The Cat in the Hat (1957)
