The green lizards and the red rectangle had a war. The rectangles were smart but the lizards were strong. Neither of them seemed to be winning the war. Finally someone decided that enough was enough and they tried working together. They found a peaceful way to live and the war was over.

Similar to Dr. Seuss’s Butter Battle Book, but in this book there doesn’t seem to be any reason for the war to begin at all. Eventually, everyone learns to work together. The pictures are clear and kids will enjoy the battles between the lizards and the rectangles. Battle scenes and the ending building can be reproduced with blocks and small plastic toys or construction paper. See what your kids will make.
